Later he bought the farm "La Germania" and in 1919 settled down in Los Olmos. He was one of the founders of the agricultural company in Comodoro Rivadavia, and for a number of years their president. In 1920 he married Eva Platz, a German immigrant. He was a real animal lover and had lots of pets. He died 1957 and was buried at the German cemmetery in Buenos Aires. He is the founder of the Argentine part of the family, which still remains in good contact with their relatives in Germany.
