Bringing the Riefkohl family together has become close to an obsession to me. Since I had majored in history at Indiana University and did some graduate work, before Uncle Sam called during the Viet-Nam war, I have had this urge to find, meet and record the comings and goings of the people of this unique surname. This quest has taken me to Mexico and the US were I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the family and with the magic of the Internet to maintain communication with relatives in Germany. I have lived and worked practically all my life in Puerto Rico working in manufacturing companies dedicated to Pharmaceuticals and Medical devices such as heart pacemakers. Nowadays I own a small business and dedicate my free time to my hobbies and in particular to Genealogy.
I am married to Carmen Labarca, and have three children from a previous marriage, Ernesto Gabriel 31, a Civil Engineer, Luis Alberto, 29, attending Law School here in Puerto Rico and Sara, 26, finishing a degree in Interior Decoration. Also three step children, Mariano, Irene and Antonio, all College students.
