Hallo! Hello! ”Saludos!
The topic of this newsletter is Frühling, Spring or Primavera.
In many parts of the northern hemisphere, Spring is arriving. Here in Phoenix, Arizona, Spring is in full force. The warm, dry days and cool nights are delightful. We had an unusually cool and wet winter, which created an abundance of colorful wildflowers all over the desert. And of course, the scent of the orange blossom and rosemary is everywhere. It is intoxicating! Another sign of Spring in Phoenix is "Spring Training." Many professional baseball teams do their training here in Phoenix in preparation for the baseball season that will start in a few weeks. All over the valley, the small baseball stadiums are full of faithful fans who want to see their baseball players up close and personal. So, today I spent the day with my son and his friend at the Phoenix Municipal Stadium watching the Angels vs. the A's (they are two teams from California.) The game was exciting at times and slow at others. But it was so nice being so close to the action, sipping a glass of cold beer and eating a polish sausage.
